Why I hate fog lights… turn ‘em off!

Here’s my challenge to the auto industry.

Please develop a sensor that automatically shuts off a vehicle’s fog lights if fog is not present on the roadway!

There are too many knuckleheads driving at night with their fog lights illuminated -- and there’s not a patch of fog within miles. From this guy’s perspective, the intensity of the light, the direction of that light, is distracting, irritating.

Fog lamps were designed, let me guess, for use in the fog.

There’s no way to get the attention of these drivers. I’ve tried flashing my high beams, a useless effort.

Am I the only driver who’s looking for a solution?!
