Akerson & family switched to GM vehicles

DETROIT -- Dan Akerson turned on the charm today to woo his audience during what he acknowledged was his first major public speech since becoming CEO of General Motors Co. on Sept. 1.

Speaking at the 2011 Automotive News World Congress, Akerson admitted he used to drive a Mercedes, but now drives GM vehicles exclusively.

So now do all of his children but one, he added, “and that one has been written out of my will.”
