Buick's Verano sedan: Regal's ‘little brother'

January 7, 2011 - 12:01 am ET
The 2012 Verano reflects Buick's latest effort to attract younger buyers and win back owners of import brands. In this interview, vehicle line executive Jim Federico explains how Buick's first compact sedan fits into the brand's design heritage and stacks up against rivals such as the Audi A3, Volvo S40 and Lexus IS 250. He was interviewed in December by Product Editor Rick Kranz, in advance of the Verano's Jan. 10 unveiling at the Detroit auto show.
