Christmastime means another online deal on a German car

Another great deal on a German car hits the Internet tomorrow, and this one is a whopping 50 percent off and isn't a promotion by the automaker.

Two 2011 BMW 328i sedans will be offered at half price tomorrow by the American Express online shopping site The start of the sale won't be posted until tomorrow.

The cars will be sold for $17,262.50 -- half off the $34,525 sticker price -- and are only available to American Express card holders.

An American Express spokeswoman said BMW is not providing the cars but that the cars will be delivered through local dealers. The cars are being offered through the American Express Auto Purchasing program.

The cars come with a standard 3.0-liter, inline six-cylinder engine; traction control; run-flat tires; and a 10-speaker audio system. But the winner can add options at a cost and choose the interior and exterior color.

American Express says buyers don't have to put the entire purchase on their card but can if they choose. The dealer must allow the card member to charge at least $2,000 on the card, Amex says.
