Infiniti hybrid M: 30 mpg, 360 hp

Infiniti revealed its first hybrid-electric model today in Los Angeles, the M Hybrid, with an on-sale target of March or April.

The 3.5-liter, 7-speed automatic V-6 car promises 360 hp and highway fuel economy of 30 miles per gallon, said Infiniti Business Unit Vice President Ben Poore. As part of the powertrain design, the car's gas engine completely shuts off while the car runs on battery power.

Poore says the model can run for up to a mile at 60 miles per hour on pure battery power.
