The redesigned VW Passat looks like a move to the lowest common denominator.

VW has been accused of pursuing Toyota in its quest to be the No. 1 automaker in the world. Sadly it may also be pursuing the Toyota Camry as the least inspired sedan design on the market.

This is the vehicle that's supposed to lead VW to 800,000 U.S. sales?
