Would Alfa Romeo now be Chinese if Ford had bought it?

Ford has really done some great work on the Jaguar brand. The Volvos have been good but usually fell a bit short in the handling and performance departments.

Had Ford acquired Alfa Romeo, we would have had Alfas in the U.S. but it would have certainly wound up in Chinese hands now.

Fiat, until now has not developed the brand into what it could have been. Perhaps now with their U.S. goals they will finally give the brand the serious effort it should have gotten long ago. Thankfully it remains Italian.
