Lenders meet before NADA show


The American Financial Services Association will hold its 14th annual vehicle finance conference at Walt Disney's Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Feb. 10-12, just before the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in Orlando, Fla.

WASHINGTON -- The American Financial Services Association will hold its 14th annual vehicle finance conference at Walt Disney's Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Feb. 10-12, just before the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in Orlando, Fla.

The agenda includes a panel discussion with dealers, including Ed Tonkin, NADA chairman-elect and president of the Ron Tonkin Family of Dealerships in Portland, Ore. Executives for several lenders also will join a panel discussion. They include Steve Lambert, CEO of Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.; John Noone, president of global marketing and sales at Ford Motor Credit Co.; and Tom Wolfe, president of Wachovia Dealer Services.

The program will address the state of the economy and credit markets, financial reform and using technology to reach young buyers.
