Lenders meet before NADA show

WASHINGTON -- The American Financial Services Association will hold its 14th annual vehicle finance conference at Walt Disney's Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Feb. 10-12, just before the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in Orlando, Fla.

The agenda includes a panel discussion with dealers, including Ed Tonkin, NADA chairman-elect and president of the Ron Tonkin Family of Dealerships in Portland, Ore. Executives for several lenders also will join a panel discussion. They include Steve Lambert, CEO of Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.; John Noone, president of global marketing and sales at Ford Motor Credit Co.; and Tom Wolfe, president of Wachovia Dealer Services.

The program will address the state of the economy and credit markets, financial reform and using technology to reach young buyers.
