Automakers have emerged from last year’s industry collapse with their electric vehicle plans intact. What’s less clear is who will buy them. Will they appeal simply to well-heeled consumers seeking a "green” toy? Or will, as EV-gambler Nissan hopes, a “pragmatic majority” embrace the technology? This second of five special morning reports this week explores the debate.
