GM bringing direct injection technology to mainstream models

/article/20090408/ANA02/904079961

These are features that should have been offered on GM vehicles years ago. And direct injection should be spread across the board, including SUV's and trucks. GM also needs to dump 4-speed automatic transmissions and install 6-speed automatics across its model range now, also. All of the D3 have been slow to bring new technology to their model lineups and that is part of the reason why customers are buying Toyotas, Nissans, etc. I guess better late then never.
