Tesla takes a bow

Impressed by the flurry of all-electric and hybrid electric vehicles at the show? Thank Tesla.

"We'll take a little bit of credit" for the industry's jump into electrics, said Diarmuid O'Connell, vice president for business development at Tesla Motors Inc. By validating the technology, Tesla paved the way for what O'Connell calls "our fellow OEMs" to move into electric vehicles.

Tesla currently delivers about 15 Roadsters a week to customers at prices that start at $109,000.
