Kleimann will advance Aston Martin’s Lagonda

Philipp Grosse Kleimann is Aston Martin’s new director of business development.

Kleimann, 38, joins the British sports car brand after 13 years with Daimler where he worked in marketing, investor relations and after-sales for Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach.

In the newly created role at Aston Martin, Kleimann will oversee business growth opportunities. His responsibilities also will include the commercial side of the revival of the Lagonda brand.

Aston Martin plans to launch Lagonda-branded luxury cars to help diversify its lineup beyond sports cars.

A German national, Kleimann will report to Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez. He will be part of the company’s board.
