Sources: Peugeot could build Prologue in Russia

PSA/Peugeot-Citroen will build the production version of the Peugeot Prologue concept in Russia, company sources told Automotive News Europe.

Russian production for the car would be in addition to the Prologue's likely production in France.

Peugeot unveiled a Prologue concept at the Paris auto show. The concept is powered by a diesel-electric powertrain.

Peugeot brand boss Jean-Philippe Collin said the concept previews a car that "will come on the market in late 2009."

PSA will start production at its new joint venture factory with Mitsubishi in Kaluga, Russia, 180km southwest of Moscow, in 2011.

PSA has said it will build its 308 lower-medium car and a medium SUV in the factory.
