FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) -- Daimler's unit Mercedes-Benz and BMW want to make a decision regarding details of their cooperation by the end of November, according to a prerelease of Auto Motor und Sport magazine's Thursday edition, citing sources. The report said both companies are looking at the forthcoming Los Angeles Motor Show in November as a possible announcement date. What has so far been agreed by both sides would be to jointly use components such as air conditioning units and brakes for future car models, it added. BMW management board member for development Klaus Draeger confirmed to Auto Motor und Sport that both companies are continuing their discussions and will make an announcement only if concrete results have been achieved. |
