MG announces price of TF LE500 sports car

The MG TF LE500 will reach UK dealers in September
The price of the two-seater sports car, which is assembled at Longbridge, in central England, from kits shipped from China, will include a body-colored hardtop, air conditioning and parking sensors.
The TF will compete directly with the Mazda MX-5, which sells for 15,730 pounds in a 1.8-liter variant.
Later, NAC MG is expected to introduce an entry-level TF that will substantially undercut the Mazda’s price.
No firm export plans have yet been announced.
NAC, which was taken over by China’s largest carmaker, SAIC Motor, in April, is expected to introduce further models to Longbridge in the next three years.
