Chiari to head Fiat's product planning

TURIN -- Daniele Chiari is Fiat Group Automobiles' new product portfolio management head.

Chiari, 41, will oversee product planning of new models for the Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Abarth and Fiat's light commercial vehicle brands. Previously, Chiari, a native of Rome, headed product planning at Fiat Powertrain Technologies. A mechanical engineer, Chiari joined Fiat in 1995.

Chiari replaces Giuseppe Bonollo, who has joined the Italian train company Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori as head of marketing, sales and services. NTV's shareholders include Fiat group and Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo.
