Automotive News receives 2 awards

DETROIT -- The Detroit Press Club Foundation presented Automotive News with two awards Thursday, April 26, for automotive journalism as part of its 2007 International Wheel Awards.

Staff Reporter Robert Sherefkin received a second place in the general interest magazine category for a news report detailing how a computer chip shortage nearly interrupted production at General Motors.

Editorial Director Peter Brown received a third place for his commentary "GM already knows everything."
