The Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich., recently inducted its class of 2006. Honored at the gala occasion were: Italian coachbuilder Nuccio Bertone; racing legend Dale Earnhardt; NASCAR boss Bill France Jr.; AutoNation founder H. Wayne Huizenga; Bridgestone founder Shojiro Ishibashi; former Ford Motor Co. President Arjay Miller; and ex-Mercedes design chief Bruno Sacco.

Retired Ford Motor Co. CFO Allan Gilmour accepted on behalf of former Ford President Arjay Miller, one of the Whiz Kids hired in 1945 by Henry Ford II.

Longtime Mercedes-Benz design chief Bruno Sacco, who created the modern look of Mercedes cars.
