Kroymans expands in Germany

Hilversum, the Netherlands. Kroymans Corp., the multi-brand Dutch dealer group, is expanding its German sales network.

"We plan to be bigger in Germany than in our home country," said CEO Ton van Soest.

Kroymans currently has 14 dealers in Germany, but it supplies about 90 independent dealers with the Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer brands. The dealer group sold a total of 3,100 new cars in Germany in 2004.

In the Netherlands, Kroymans has 50 car dealers and sells about 45,000 new cars a year.

The group has already opened Cadillac and Corvette Experience Centers in Stuttgart, Duesseldorf and Nuremberg. A further center is planned in Mannheim.

Kroymans will be the exclusive European distributor for Hummer. Sales of 5,000 Hummers are year are targeted by 2008. Kroymans will open 35 Hummer sales centers in Europe by 2010. Six will be in Germany.

The group plans to open its first Opel dealership in Duesseldorf this year.

It will add the Chevrolet, Kia, Suzuki and Volvo brands to its portfolio.

Currently, Kroymans sells General Motors' American brands as well as models by Saab, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, SsangYong, Ferrari and Maserati.
