Peugeot will build up to twelve new branches

Frankfurt. Peugeot Germany is expanding its sales network.

The importer plans to invest around 50 million euros in the construction of between nine and 12 new branches.

Olivier Veyrier, Peugeot Germany managing director, says the current 16 branches with 62 locations represented 28.5 percent of last year's sales volume. In 2005 this should increase to 30 percent.

The German sales network currently consists of 763 locations.

Authorized dealers invested around 49 million euros in 2004.

Peugeot is still looking for partners for 32 locations, including Ingolstadt, Upper Swabia and the area south of Berlin.

Unit sales decreased slightly to 121,914 vehicles in 2004. Sales, on the other hand, increased by 6.6 percent to approximately 1.9 billion euros.
