VW offers big trade-in bonuses to boost Golf sales

Wolfsburg. Volkswagen AG is offering dealers in Europe a "trade-in premium" of 928 euros to boost sales of the new Golf.

VW dealers can use this to offer extras to potential Golf buyers when they trade in used cars.

The campaign is promoted to VW dealers as "a real boost for your Golf business" and will continue until the end of September.

It is unusual for VW to offer incentives for customers to trade in their old Golfs.

VW is also offering new Golf buyers free climate control to help increase sales.
