Upswing in March

Around 340,000 new cars were registered in Germany in March according to provisional figures from the KBA (German Federal Authority of Road Transport).

This is a 6.7 percent increase compared with the same month last year. The total of new registrations during the first quarter was 772,000 -- an increase of 1.8 percent, compared with the same period in 2003.
