Head of Ford's European production to leave

Hans Schardt, 57, head of production at Ford's European plants, is leaving the company.

His successor is Albert Lidauer, who joins the Ford from General Motors, where he was executive director, manufacturing operations at Holden, GM's Australian subsidiary.

Lidauer will report to John Fleming, Ford of Europe's vice president of manufacturing.
