No profit for Opel in 2003

Opel CEO Carl-Peter Forster has given up hope for a turnaround in 2003.

The General Motors subsidiary announced that it expects to report a loss for the fourth quarter.

Opel also reported a loss for the third quarter.

The company blames the loss on a bad order situation in August and September.
