Swiss firm may sue Germans

Diessenhofen. Swiss businessman Ernst Uhlmann may take legal action against the Federal Republic of Germany.

In 2001 his company, Fela Management AG, offered to develop and install a toll system for trucks.

His offer was rejected due to "insufficient equity capital." The contract was given to Toll Collect instead, DaimlerChrysler and Telekom joint venture.

But Uhlmann says that the contract was changed after his bid was rejected.

A condition was added reducing the government's claim for compensation from the toll operators to a minimum sum, he claims.
