Aston Martin engines to be built in Cologne

Aston Martin will have 12-cylinder engines manufactured by parent company Ford at its plant in Cologne starting in autumn 2004. The move has been caused by capacity shortages at Aston Martin's former engine supplier Cosworth.

Cosworth will continue to cast engine cases and cylinder heads for Aston Martin engines.

Aston Martin is part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group of luxury brands.
