Premier Automotive Canada is restructured

TORONTO - Ford Motor Co.'s Premier Automotive Group will restructure its Canadian operations to bring them into line with changes made in the U.S. market and Europe.

Along with the formation of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada effective Jan. 1, Ford said it will create a shared service organization to look after finance, human resources, legal affairs and information technology for the three British marques and Volvo.

Victor Bernardini, Premier's marketing director in Britain, has been appointed president of the Premier Automotive Group Canada. He is responsible for the three British brands and the new service organization and will report to Mike O'Driscoll, President of Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover North America.

Volvo and Lincoln will continue to report to their parent organizations.

Don Robidas, managing director of Land Rover Canada, has been appointed vice president of retail operations for Aston Martin Jaguar Land Rover Canada. Russell Reynolds, now president of Jaguar Canada, will return to his home country of New Zealand to assist with Premier Automotive Group integration in the Asia Pacific region.
