GM's sibling SUVs carry big price tag

DETROIT - The Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT will start at $31,385, and the GMC Envoy XL will be $31,595 when they go on sale in the spring.

The new models are siblings and are extended versions of the Chevy TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy.

With four-wheel drive, the prices are $33,610 for the TrailBlazer EXT and $33,820 for the base Envoy XL.

All prices include a $600 destination charge.

The Envoy XL is 16 inches longer and 3 inches higher than the base Envoy. The Envoy XL and TrailBlazer EXT have a third seat and are listed as seven-passenger vehicles.

The TrailBlazer is $5,480 more than the base TrailBlazer; the Envoy XL is $2,050 more than the base Envoy.
