Buick Sail grabs China market

SHANGHAI, China - Since its introduction in June, the Buick Sail, a compact sedan based on the Opel Corsa, has captured 20 percent of the Chinese small-car market, according to General Motors.

GM said sales through October topped 19,000.

The car is built in Shanghai in a joint venture with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp.
