Production drops 9.4% in October

  • North American car and truck production for October was 1,452,630, down 9.4 percent from the year-ago month.

    In October, U.S. car production was down 12.2 percent; Canadian car production was down 11.6 percent; Mexican car production was down 12.1 percent; and North American car production was down 12.1 percent.

    U.S. truck production was down 5.3 percent; Canadian truck production was down 20.4 percent; Mexican truck production was up 2.0 percent; and North American truck production was down 7.0 percent.

  • Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corp. U.S.A. built a record number of Nissan Altimas in October: 19,630. The previous monthly record was set in August 1994, when 17,596 were built.
