Automotive News section honoring industry women receives award

LAS VEGAS - An Automotive News special section about women in the industry has been honored by the Women's Board of the Car Care Council.

The section, "100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry," published in the Sept. 11, 2000, edition of Automotive News, received a Women's Automotive Communications Award. The awards are given each year in recognition of outstanding efforts to educate women about cars and automotive careers.

Automotive News was honored in the National Business-to-Business category for the special section and received additional praise for sponsoring a dinner and awards ceremony, which was attended by 600 people.

The Car Care Council awards were presented Oct. 30 at a ceremony here during Aftermarket Week.
