Group wins project grant

DETROIT - The Automotive Industry Action Group has been awarded a $300,000 grant by the National Institute of Standards

and Technology to conduct an industry pilot project that supports the deployment of standards for the exchange of product data management information in the automotive industry.

“This grant will help us accelerate the development and deployment of standards that will improve the ability to exchange product data amongst automakers and suppliers,” said William Koch, the group’s loaned executive.

The completion date for the project is June.
