It will be launched to the industry at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in January. Nitra will be available from Cobalt on a subscription basis.
Beginning in July, dealership groups and automakers will have the option to license Nitra and to host and run it on their servers.
Cobalt developed the platform over an 18-month period and a $12 million investment.
The first three applications for dealers on Nitra will be Website Manager, to customize a dealer’s Web site; Marketing Library Manager, to manage a dealer’s text and image libraries; and User Administration, to enable dealers to set staff user permissions.
