Several markets may see Peugeot/Toyota car

TOKYO, Oct. 23 — The new small car that PSA Peugeot Citroen and Toyota Motor Corp. are jointly developing may not be limited to the European market.

Asked if it could be sold in other markets, such as Asia, Jean-Marc Nicolle, PSA vice president for group strategy and products, replied, "Why not?"

"The first application will be in Europe," he said at the Tokyo International Automotive Conference, sponsored by Nikkei Business with the cooperation of the Automotive News Group.
