Visteon to use Bluetooth

DETROIT - Visteon Corp. components with Bluetooth technology will be used in production vehicles late in the 2003 model year, says Kyle Walworth, the Dearborn, Mich., supplier's supervisor for wireless communications business. He would not disclose which automakers have purchased the system.

"We will be on everything from low-dollar vehicles to the highest-dollar vehicles," he added.

Bluetooth is a short-range network that wirelessly connects electronic devices.
