Ford boosts cash rebates

DETROIT - Ford Motor Co. has boosted cash rebates $500 to $1,500 on 10 lines of 2001 Ford cars and light trucks.

Ford also announced cash givebacks of $500 to $1,500 on a dozen 2002 nameplates.

In addition, Ford continued until Oct. 31 the 0 percent financing program that brought a sales boost in September.

Top rebates on the 2002 models are $1,500 on the Windstar and $1,000 on the Crown Victoria, Taurus, Ranger, Explorer Sport, Expedition and Excursion.

Topping the givebacks on 2001 models is $3,000 on the Windstar. The Crown Victoria, Ranger and Econoline E-150 bring $2,500.
