To the Editor:

Your Sept. 24 issue was not the upbeat, encouraging message we are used to seeing.

As a dealer principal, I have worked very hard to keep up the morale in my store and in the community. As a result, we have not experienced a decline in business. I would say this to the thousands of dealers and hundreds of thousands of dealership employees: "Every ship has a good captain in calm seas."

No terrorists or hijackers have the power to change the face of America, the greatest country on Earth.

Gather your team together every morning, lay out a game plan and execute. Don't allow them to sit three deep and discuss how bad things are.

Remember, the speed of the train is the speed of the engine.
