Comings & Goings: LOS ANGELES: New Volvo vice president gets new office, too - in California

Less than two months after Marti Eulberg became vice president of sales operations for Volvo Cars of North America Inc. in Rockleigh, New Jersey, she began packing again.

Volvo moved its marketing division to Irvine, California, in August. It shares the same building with other members of Ford Motor Co.'s Premier Auto Group - Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Lincoln Mercury.

Eulberg, a native Texan, started at Volvo in mid-June after a nine-year managerial stint with BMW of North America Inc. of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. She has responsibility for business to business, commercial and daily rentals, used-vehicle programs, retail training and coordination of field activities. She reports to Vic Doolan, executive director of the Premier Group.

'The product lineup is changing significantly,' Eulberg says. 'We're bringing out a sport-utility in the next few years.' In 2002 Volvo introduces all-wheel drive on its S60 and V70, along with a facelift for the S80.

Strengthening owner loyalty is one of the key tasks that Eulberg, 37, hopes to do. Also, she will have to design marketing programs and customer satisfaction tools that make Volvo more competitive. She worked as a field manager for Ford and moved to regional sales and marketing manager before joining BMW.
