BMW makes personnel changes

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. - Adrian van Hooydonk was named president of Designworks/USA, BMW's design studio in Newbury Park, Calif. Van Hooydonk, 37, a native of the Netherlands, succeeds Designworks founder Chuck Pelly, who left Designworks in February 2000.Van Hooydonk joined BMW in 1992. He was automotive design department director for the California studio.

Ralf Caly was named general manager, international customer relations management and e-business development for BMW of North America Inc. in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. Caly joined the parent company in Munich in January 1999.
