Budd expands business

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - The Budd Co. Plastics Division, a part of ThyssenKrupp Automotive AG, has signed a three-year deal to use Ventro Corp.'s supply-chain management software.

Budd supplies fiberglass-reinforced composite compounds and molded products to automobile, truck and engine manufacturers.

The Ventro contract expands on an initial installation that enables Budd Plastics to collaborate with 50 suppliers in North America.

Suppliers, manufacturers and others use the software to electronically interact and exchange data throughout the design process.

Terms were undisclosed.
