Stop the terror or it will recur

To the Editor:

Your Sept. 17 story that recalled the loss of Volkswagen executives Jim Fuller and Lou Marengo in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland ("Tragedy is painful reminder of VW execs killed over Lockerbie"), has prompted calls from past Volkswagen associates and dealers who, like me, share the pain and emotions of tragic, senseless loss again.

We must never forget whathappened Sept. 11, 2001, or Dec. 21, 1988.

Add to those all the countless attacks, for countless causes, against countless innocents.

We must stop this or we shall again face another tragedy on another, never-to-be-forgotten, future date.
