Ad group honors 2 auto execs

The American Advertising Federation named two auto executives to its Advertising Hall of Achievement last week: Linda Thomas Brooks, managing director of General Motors Mediaworks and Cyberworks, and Deborah Wahl, marketing communications manager of Lincoln Mercury.

Brooks, 38, started with Mediaworks as vice president and director of negotiations in 1994. Wahl, also 38, is responsible for directing the Lincoln and Mercury brands’ national advertising, cross-brand communication and events marketing. Wahl has held her position since 1999.

Brooks and Wahl are among seven inductees who will be honored on Nov. 14 in New York.
