Denso to spin off division

TOKYO - Denso Corp. will spin off part of its information system management division into a new company.

The company, Denso ISM Corp., will develop and operate information systems for human resources, finance, design and production for Denso and its related companies. It will aim to sell its services outside the Denso group as well, with sales targeted at 5.4 billion, or $46.2 million at current exchange rates. Current sales levels were not disclosed.

Denso will own 100 percent of the company, which will be capitalized at $2.4 million. Noboru Nagai, general manager of Denso's Information Planning Department, will be its president.
