Delphi to supply systems

DETROIT - PSA/Peugeot-Citroen SA, Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. will use common-rail fuel injection systems from Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. on diesel engines.

Delphi, of Troy, Mich., began production of systems for the Kia KJ 2.9 engine in August. The engine is used in the Kia Carnival and Terran. PSA/Peugeot-Citroen has ordered the Delphi system for 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter engines. Production of the 1.4-liter engine will begin this year, while production of the 1.6-liter unit begins next year.
