Please, Mr. Lutz, send us product

After reading your Aug. 6 stories on General Motors hiring Robert Lutz, all I can say is hallelujah!

I am a second-generation GM dealer in central Illinois. My brother and I are buying out my father.

I grew up in an automotive family and learned early that a dealership survives on product.

Product is what GM needs desperately now.

I am sorry to say that GM has missed the mark on some product the last couple of years - Aztek, Oldsmobile. I certainly hope that Lutz can energize the design team into bringing us product that we can sell.

GM has brought us some winners in the last couple of years - Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, 2500 HD, TrailBlazer. Our truck lineup is the best there is. We even have adequate inventory of most product.
