Lithia buys Chevy dealership in Idaho

MEDFORD, Ore. - Publicly held vehicle retailer Lithia Motors Inc. bought a Chevrolet dealership in Idaho for $1.7 million cash.

Lithia bought Lanny Berg Chevrolet in Caldwell, Idaho, which had estimated sales of $22 million this year, according to Bloomberg News. This was Lithia's fourth acquisition this year. The company has 117 vehicle franchises in the western United States.

Lithia already owns a Chevrolet dealership in Boise, Idaho. The company had sales of $1.7 billion last year, up 34 percent from 1999.
