France, United States: Exide puts 3 in charge of lean manufacturing

Three veteran Exide Technologies executives are overseeing the company's new lean manufacturing program.

* Gilbert Marchensin is director of manufacturing-transportation Europe in Gennevilliers, France.

* Kevin Jenkins is director of the manufacturing-transportation business group in Atlanta, Georgia.

* David Wesley is director of operations-GNB industrial power in Lombard, Illinois.

Exide's lean manufacturing program is called EXCELL, a word that abbreviates Exide's Customer-focused Excellent Lean Leadership system.
