SOMMERVILLE, Mass. - Ford Motor Co. plans to build a low-priced postwar car, probably a modernized four-cylinder Model A, with a price tag around $500, company officials confirmed here last week.

Both Henry Ford II and sales manager J.R. Davis confirmed the report.
