TOYOTA PROMOTES EXECS

LOS ANGELES - Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. has promoted J. Davis Illingworth, the head of its Toyota Division.

Illingworth, a former group vice president, is now senior vice president. He continues as general manager of the Toyota sales arm.

Toyota also named one other senior vice president and two group vice presidents in making six promotions last week:

James Press moves from group vice president to senior vice president of corporate planning.

James Lacy moves from vice president to group vice president of human resources.

John Turmell moves from vice president to group vice president. He continues as general manager of the Toyota Industrial Equipment Division.

Wolfgang Jahn, group vice president of Toyota Motor Credit Corp. and Toyota Motor Insurance Services, is now also general manager.

Lacy, Jahn and Turmell have also been named officers of Toyota Motor Sales. So has N. Shigemi, senior vice president of coordination at Toyota Credit and Toyota Insurance.
